Wellbeing, health care and sports innovation platforms

The aim of the project is to develop technologically advanced innovation platforms and environments in order to increase the international level of technology expertise and boost the competitiveness of the Kainuu area located in north-eastern Finland.

The project utilises the interdisciplinary knowledge base of the regional CEMIS-consortium, focusing on the important themes for the area, such as preventive health care, the world-class sports environment of Vuokatti, and sports-related travelling.

The project has four Work Packages:

WP1: Health Technology Innovation Platforms
WP2: Innovation in Sports Technology
WP3: Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
WP4: Utilising the Results

The objectives of the project are: two commercialized health technology products, two service analytics products and four new jobs in the service business sector, a sports-technology field spin-off company or product, grown volume of service business for project partners, and to acquire a national project funding of €1.7 million and an international project funding of  €1 million.

CSC is one of the project partners along with University of Jyväskylä (coordinator), University of Oulu, Kajaani University of Applied Sciences and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.
