Bibliometric computing

Bibliometric computing analyses scientific publications and their citations with quantitative methods. CSC's bibliometric computing service provides information on Finnish research to the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Academy of Finland to support science policies and evaluating research.

The bibliometric services analyse data from the Web of Science and Scopus databases and the data of the publication information collection of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The results of bibliometric analyses are published as statistical reports in the Vipunen service where the information can be used freely. With bibliometric reports you can examine the amount of publications, scientific effectiveness and publication coordination by branch of science.
