JUFO Portal

JUFO Portal

The Publication Forum is a classification system for scientific publishing which supports quality control of research. The Publication Forum is developed by the Finnish research community and it is used in the funding model of universities.

The JUFO Portal assembles information about different publishing channels in one place. In the Portal you can for example search and browse information, create your own lists, propose new publishing channels or changes in the classifications.

The Publication Forum classification has been developed to meet the need to evaluate scientific publishing of research organisations also by quality in addition to quantity. The classification has three steps into which the leading publication channels of all branches of science are sorted.

CSC also maintains a publication channel database which contains the metadata of all open publication channels in the Publication Forum.
