The purpose of this hack day is to provide the attendees with a distraction-free day to spend on developing HPC applications. The attendees come to the workshop with a specific goal to achieve, such as

• implementing a new feature or algorithm into their code

• parallelizing a serial code

• porting a code to utilize GPUs or Xeon Phi co-processors

• improving serial performance and parallel scalability of their code.

This workshop will catalyze this work by providing consultancy and tips as well as a possibility to reflect your ideas with CSC experts and other attendees. Also a couple of brief tutorials and best-practice talks will be given during the day. The specific topics of these will be tailored for the final list of attendees and their interests.
