This continuation course to Linux 1 - Introduction to Linux (we recommend having attended this course, but it is not mandatory) will give the participant an extensive knowledge and skills to use the Unix shell, including advanced techniques in common Unix utilities and regular expressions used in pattern matching. In addition to being useful on CSC's servers, Unix skills may come in handy elsewhere too, and knowing how to utilise them makes working on Unix environments more efficient. The skills learnt are of use and can be utilised during the Using CSC Environment Efficiently course on 1st Jun.
