KUHA 3
Sport and wellbeing data analytics program in Kainuu
KUHA 3 project creates solutions for data management challenges of sport data by building data lake where this data can be stored and analysed. The project supports the aims of the Kajaani area innovation ecosystem contract on the extensive collection and use of sports and wellbeing data for both RDI activities and utilization of this among companies and different RDI activities.
The goal of the project is to create stable and production ready solutions based on technologies developed in previous projects, especially in KUHA 1, KUHA 2 and UTV projects. The main focus is on data lake and visualization application developed earlier. The production versions produced by the project will first be utilized and used at the operation environment of the Olympic Training Center of Vuokatti-Ruka. CSC is responsible for the data lake development done in work package 2.
In addition, the project creates essential know-how on the collection of sensitive sports data, which can then be introduced to the wellbeing sector. In the future, the data pool will allow the collection of sports data in one place behind the open and machine-readable interface. In addition to its regional impact, the project also supports the sports and exercise data entity of the Finnish Olympic Committee.
