Webinar: Geocomputing in Puhti
This webinar introduces the participants to geocomputing options provided by Puhti supercomputer. The webinar contains a general introduction and a hands-on demo:
- In which use cases it would be or would not be worth moving your analysis to Puhti?
- What GIS software is preinstalled to Puhti?
- What spatial data is available in Puhti?
- How to start using Puhti?
- How to move and store data?
- How to make your analysis faster?
Puhti is a Linux machine which is mainly used with scripts, so general Linux and programming skills are helpful for using it. Most commonly R or Python are used for spatial analysis.
The webinar is mainly meant for those who have not used Taito or Puhti, but would need more computing power for their spatial analysis tasks.
