GOBLET

The Global Organization of Bioinformatics Learning, Education, and Training

GOBLET (the Global Organization of Bioinformatics Learning, Education, and Training) is a foundation supporting the global bioinformatics trainer community, and it aims to support the learning, education, and training of bioinformatics by providing standards and high-quality resources for trainers and learners. GOBLET's vision is "To unite, inspire and equip bioinformatics trainers worldwide." GOBLET offers an extensive training portal featuring a diverse array of open-source materials, including courses, workshops, and tutorials, accessible to both educators and students. The organization also organizes events such as annual general meetings and specialized workshops, providing platforms for networking and professional development. For example, GOBLET organizes the Global Bioinformatics Education Summit annually.

Membership is open to individuals and organizations committed to enhancing bioinformatics education, offering opportunities to contribute to and benefit from GOBLET's collective expertise. CSC had representation in the GOBLET executive board from 2019–2024 (Eija Korpelainen).
