FAIR Science Café
What is FAIR Science Café?
FAIR Science Café is an informal and interactive online event where researchers get to talk about their work, research, and results in their own words. The discussion also highlights the data used, produced, and possibly openly available in the research.
Event aims:
- To provide researchers with a forum for presenting their research
- To increase understanding of research work and related data
- To promote open science and the implementation of FAIR principles
- To enable dialogue between researchers and the public
The events are held in a relaxed, café-like atmosphere where discussion and questions are warmly welcomed.
The speaker at January’s FAIR Science Café is Elizabeth Carter (Digital Waters), who works on innovative solutions for climate change and water management using digital twins. Digital twins are virtual models of physical objects, systems or processes.
In this FAIR Science Café you will hear about:
- How digital twins create virtual models of water systems to predict and manage climate impacts
- The role of real-time data and FAIR principles in sustainable water research
- Insights from the Digital Waters flagship initiative and its vision for future water security
The event will be held in English and is suitable for anyone who is interested in digital twins, climate change and water research.
