Puhti web interface is now open for beta test use
An easy-to-use web interface for Puhti is now open for beta test use. The new user interface offers an easy way for new users to use Puhti, and for experienced users it makes access to some of the features quicker and easier. Everything still runs directly on Puhti, giving you all the resources and power of a supercomputer, but easily accessible using just a web browser.
This interface can be used for managing your files, listing your batch jobs, checking project status and quota usages and launching a number of applications. In the initial set of applications you will find:
SSH session to Puhti’s login nodes running in the browser
- Jupyter notebooks in a number of Puhti’s python environments
- Rstudio
- Visual studio Code
- Rclone Web UI providing point and click data transfers between Allas and Puhti
- Linux desktop running on a compute node, all viewable in your web browser via noVNC
For more detailed information on how to access and use the interface please take a look at the user documentation and from get started page you will find information on how to register as a CSC customer and open a CSC account.
The service is still in a beta state, and we are working on adding new features and generally improving the service. Please let us know if you experience any issues or have improvement suggestions. A link to a feedback form can be found on the frontpage of the web interface under the “Message of the day” or under the “Help” icon in the navbar.
The new web interface has been funded by EuroCC project and it is based on Open OnDemand, an open-source HPC portal.
