Are you a social sciences and humanities (SSH) scholar that conducts research with large amounts of data and works with social media data and/or visual materials*? Are you alternatively an information specialist (e.g., librarian) with experience in SSH research data management (RDM)? Then this announcement might interest you!

Tampere University and the CSC – IT Center for Science are looking for volunteers to take part in a study for developing the DARIAH-FI ( research infrastructure. The purpose of the study is to (1) understand the RDM practices of SSH scholars that conduct data-intensive research and work with social media data and/or visual materials; (2) comprehend how these practices are currently supported; and (3) identify how can we better support this aspect of the digital humanities and computational social sciences research process in the case stated above.

As a participant in the study, you will have the opportunity to discuss SSH RDM with peers and contribute to the development of best practices and support services for SSH RDM. You will be asked to take part in a participatory workshop during June 2024. The workshop will be held in English, it will happen online via Zoom, and it will take up approximately 2 hours of your time. If you are a SSH scholar, the workshop will take place on 4.6. between 10-12. Conversely, if you are an information specialist, the workshop will take place on 6.6. between 10-12.
