Supercomputer Roihu’s pilot projects begin
Today, the first users of Roihu supercomputer started testing the new system.
In February CSC chose 28 scientifically high‑quality and computationally challenging pilot projects to be executed as part of Roihu’s acceptance phase. These pilot projects introduce real‑world workloads that are essential for stress‑testing the new system.
The pilot phase will last four weeks, during which pilot users will have access to Roihu’s full computing capacity. If the pilot phase is completed without major issues, Roihu can be opened for general use.
Roihu is Finland’s next national supercomputing system, set to replace the current Mahti and Puhti supercomputers. Roihu is a BullSequana XH3000 hybrid system by Bull.
