Universum’s annual survey measures how well students from different disciplines know various employers and which organizations they consider ideal places to work. In the results published in spring 2026, CSC ranked 15th among the most attractive employers for IT students. This represents an impressive jump of eight places compared to the previous year. In 2025, CSC improved its position by 12 places, demonstrating the company’s steadily growing visibility and appeal among IT students.

We invest in collaboration with higher education institutions and offer dozens of internship opportunities every year, giving students a chance to gain valuable work experience. A curious and continuously learning workforce is our most important asset. We value diverse perspectives and fresh ideas, which students often bring to our organization,” says Taru Vertanen, Human Resources Development Manager at CSC.

Internships as a path into working life

Each year, CSC employs dozens of students through summer internships at its offices in Espoo and Kajaani. Internships are one of CSC’s most important recruitment channels, and many former interns have continued their careers at CSC after graduation. This year, CSC has more than 40 summer trainees.

CSC’s internship positions provide an opportunity to deepen the knowledge gained during studies while gaining valuable work experience in the fields of high-performance computing, digital services, and expert support. At CSC, trainees become part of expert teams, take on meaningful responsibilities, and see firsthand how their work contributes to the digitalization of research and education.

CSC also offers its summer trainees the Summer Xperience internship programme, which includes networking opportunities and shared events throughout the summer. The programme aims to help trainees get to know one another and enrich their overall internship experience. The annual Summer Xperience is a strong example of CSC’s commitment to providing meaningful career opportunities for students at the beginning of their professional journeys.
