Summer trainees: a valuable addition to CSC
More than 40 trainees worked across CSC in summer 2026. Their summer was filled with diverse tasks, plenty of learning opportunities, and the Summer Xperience programme, which brought trainees together across the organization.
This summer, CSC once again welcomed students from a variety of fields through its summer trainee program. More than 40 trainees joined the CSC community, bringing fresh perspectives and enthusiasm to teams across the organization.
The trainees worked in diverse roles throughout CSC. During the summer, they gained hands-on experience in their respective fields, developed their skills, learned about working life, and became familiar with CSC’s operations.
Trainees are an important resource for CSC. Their contributions are visible in the day-to-day work of teams, projects, and development initiatives. At the same time, trainees bring new perspectives, expertise, and questions that help the entire organization learn and grow.
“Our summer trainees once again brought valuable expertise, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas to CSC. A warm thank you to each and every trainee for their valuable contribution this summer,” says Kimmo Koski, Managing Director of CSC.
Summer Xperience brings trainees together
Alongside their day-to-day work, trainees took part in CSC’s Summer Xperience program, designed to provide opportunities for networking, shared experiences, and getting to know CSC. The program brings trainees together across teams and units while offering welcome breaks from the summer work routine.
This year’s program included activities such as a speed-friending event, an office adventure, a trivia afternoon, and a pizza Friday. The summer also featured informal coffee and lunch gatherings, giving trainees the chance to connect with one another in a relaxed setting.
Based on feedback, trainees particularly appreciated activities that allowed them to interact in smaller groups. Shared coffee breaks and informal gatherings were also highlighted as some of the summer’s most memorable moments.
Professional growth and new experiences
According to the feedback survey conducted at the end of the summer, the trainees found their work assignments both rewarding and pleasantly challenging. Diverse tasks and the opportunity to explore new tools supported their professional development and helped them build practical skills. The feedback also showed that confidence in expressing opinions grew over the course of the summer.
A warm thank you to all our summer trainees of 2026 for your valuable contributions and active participation. We wish you success and joy in the future!
