CSC

As a company entrusted with a special state assignment, CSC plays a unique role in supporting Finnish research, education and the public sector. Sustainability is an integral part of our core mission and of how we create value for society. Our objective is to minimize the negative impacts of our operations and strengthen our positive handprint together with our stakeholders. In 2025, we further developed our emissions accounting, initiated an assessment of human rights impacts across our value chain, and updated CSC’s Code of Ethics.

The content and structure of the 2025 Sustainability report largely follow the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the related European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). Due to recent legislative changes, CSC is no longer required to report in accordance with these standards. Nevertheless, we will continue to report on sustainability in the future. The themes included in the report are based on a double materiality assessment, in which we identified the sustainability topics most relevant to our operations. Our report aims to provide a comprehensive overview of our actions across different areas of sustainability and to explain how sustainability is managed and developed within our company.

The Impact review presents concrete examples of how we work with our customers and partners to build digital solutions for research, education and innovation activities—strengthening societal competitiveness, the national knowledge base and the foundations for the green transition.

As part of our annual reporting package, we have also published the Board of Directors’ annual report and the financial statements with accompanying notes. This document is available on our website alongside the Sustainability report and the Impact review.
