CSC receives age certificate for a diverse and inclusive workplace
CSC has been awarded the Finnish Age Certificate by Excellence Finland in recognition of its commitment to age diversity and equality in the workplace.
The age certificate is awarded to responsible organizations that actively promote age equality at work. The recognition is an important indication that employees of all ages are treated fairly in both recruitment and career development.
Supporting career growth
At CSC, diversity and equality are embedded both in the organization’s strategy and in everyday working life.
Recruitment aims to attract a diverse pool of applicants from different age groups. Hiring decisions are based on competence, experience, and suitability for the role. Higher education students are supported in their transition to working life through internship opportunities across a variety of fields. In addition, the annual Summer Xperience internship program is organized, which aims to strengthen networking among trainees, foster connections between participants, and support the development of professional networks.
CSC’s operations are built on expertise. That is why it is important to us that everyone has the opportunity to put their skills into use, develop professionally, and build a meaningful career regardless of their stage in working life.

Employees’ professional growth is supported through personalized career plans that take individual goals and development aspirations into account. Career path planning and internal mobility enable continuous skills development at different stages of a career. Flexible working practices, including flexible working hours, multi-location work, and other working-time arrangements, help employees balance work, family life, and other commitments.
Diversity and equality as part of everyday life at CSC
CSC’s employees represent approximately 200 different academic disciplines and 32 nationalities. The average length of employment at CSC is 7.6 years, reflecting a high level of employee commitment. At the heart of CSC’s operations are diverse expertise and opportunities for continuous learning and development.
“CSC’s operations are built on expertise. That is why it is important to us that everyone has the opportunity to put their skills into use, develop professionally, and build a meaningful career regardless of their stage in working life. Taking part in the age certificate process is one way of demonstrating our commitment to examining these goals openly, learning, and continuously improving,” says CSC’s HR Director Hanna Leimola.
Building an equitable and inclusive workplace requires continuous and active effort. These goals are supported through a mandatory sustainability training program for all employees, which also covers themes related to social responsibility. As part of the age certificate assessment process, CSC also received valuable development recommendations that will help further strengthen age equality within the organization.
