CSC celebrates workplace diversity as a community partner of Helsinki Pride
CSC is an official community partner of Helsinki Pride this year. The partnership is a visible demonstration of CSC’s support for LGBTIQ rights and its commitment to advancing equality and equity both within the organization and in society more broadly.
The partnership with Helsinki Pride highlights the core principles of our work culture: the workplace should be safe and respectful for everyone.
Helsinki Pride was selected as CSC’s partner because it is a key national actor with long-standing expertise in promoting equality and combating discrimination in working life. The support of Pride’s community partners enables the organization of Finland’s largest cultural and human rights event, as well as year-round human rights advocacy. Through this partnership, we contribute to fostering a safer and more equal environment for CSC’s LGBTIQ employees.
Promoting diversity and equality starts from strategy and is reflected in everyday life
Pride is one element of CSC’s broader DEI work (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion), the themes of which have previously been addressed in various formats and events. In CSC’s owner strategy (csc.fi, pfd), diversity is part of the social responsibility theme for the 2025–2028 strategy period. Diversity and CSC’s role as an employer are also highlighted in the company’s strategy as cross-cutting aspects of sustainability.
“A diverse work community is one of CSC’s key strengths. The unique qualities and range of experiences of our personnel form the foundation for the value we create for our customers. All CSC employees must have equal opportunities to develop, be heard, and experience inclusion so that our work community remains sustainable and successful. Achieving this goal is the responsibility not only of management but of every individual at CSC,” says CSC’s Vice Managing Director Tiina Kupila-Rantala.
A panel discussion on workplace diversity for the work community
As part of Pride Month in June, we are organizing a panel discussion focused on diversity in working life. The panel will explore what diversity in working life encompasses, the benefits it brings, and what each of us can do to strengthen inclusion and a sense of belonging.
The discussion will feature both CSC employees and external experts. External speakers include Seta president of board Anu Kantola, who has over a decade of experience in LGBTIQ and human rights advocacy in Finland and internationally, and Shadia Rask, entrepreneur and Professor of Practice at Hanken, whose expertise covers diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and migration-related issues.
Helsinki Pride community partnership
Helsinki Pride community partnership is for all non-profit organizations, associations and unions that want to promote sexual and gender minorities’ rights.
